LA Bridge, originally uploaded by amayzun.

So sorry there haven’t been any updates as far as art show pics go. I don’t know how many people actually keep up with my site, but my internet connection has been messed up and I’m behind. I have shot three art shows but haven’t been able to get the pics up due to my shotty connection. Please stick with me, I plan on changing some things in the near future and get these pics together.

Thanks to every and anyone for their continued interest.

So I haven’t been posting very much. I’ve been busy and gas prices have been rising and basically I haven’t been getting out much. Up above is a new banner I made. This past weekend I went to the Wreck N Yard 2 show. Got some great shots, check the pics below.

Email me about any up coming events. Thanks!

06/07/2008 ~ Las Vegas, NV #2806

This past weekend I visited Las Vegas. Had a great time, took some great photos, I’ll post them later. Remember the Pomona Art Walk is this Saturday and check the calendar for more upcoming art shows.

This past Saturday, I went to two great shows. First, I hit up The Lost Ten Years show @ Melt Gallery. Very awesome work. I like how the gallery was set up also. They had the lights off and only the art was lit up by lil spot lights. There was also great music playing, as always. Second show I went to was the much anticipated FotoGraff show. This had to be one of the biggest shows I’ve ever attended at Crewest. It was a great atmosphere and there was some great work to be seen. Check both show pics below.

This past weekend, all I did was snap graff pics, so expect those for a while. I don’t now if I’ll be hitting up many art shows, I’ve been very busy and I don’t really have time to find any shows. If you have any info on upcoming shows, please email them to amayzun [at] gmail [dot] com.

Weekend in Review

Wednesday, April 16th, 2008

Friday, I hit up the LA vs War show. It was a good event, lots of stuff to see. I just found out that on Sunday, all of the live painting that was done in the Crewest section was on display, so I didn’t get a chance to see the final works of some of the artists. Saturday, I went down to Long Beach and caught the DIAR Benefit show. The show was pretty great, COPE2, CRIME79, FEAR, FRAME & TIMOI, along with some others came out and did some amazing pieces of work, check the pics below.

Thats pretty much all I got to shoot. A lil bit of Vodka & orange juice prevented me from hitting up the Alpha Cult show on Saturday. Hopefully I’ll catch it before it ends.

This weekend I hit up three shows. First one was the Can’t Be Stopped show @ Crewest. I think I might have to go back to Crewest this Thursday for the Art Walk, just to be sure I didn’t miss anything. There were a lot of people there and it was hard to get straight shots of everything. Next, I hit up the Cut Like A Guillotine show @ Han Cholo. This show featured new, amazing, works by 2 Cents. And lastly, I hit up the Salvage show@ First Street Studios. I really liked this show. This was my first trip to First Street Studios, I liked the vibe, very laid back with a positive vibe.

In addition to takin art show pics, I got a chance to take a ton of graff pics. This made for a great weekend, since its been a while since I’ve gotten to take any graff pics .. and I found some great stuff!

All show pics are below this post, and I’ve posted various graff shots, I’ll keep posting more graff pics throughout the week, so be on the look out!

I know its kinda late in the week to be posting this. But who cares. I only went to one show this past weekend, and that was at Eagle Rock Underground. There was a lot of stuff to see. ERU is a nice shop. Since the store was kinda cleared out for the art show, I’m not exactly sure what they sell, but definetly check out the show pics (which will be up after this post) and their website.

This weekend was a little slow. I only hit up one show, Revolution @ Mauve Gallery in Newport Beach. Although this show as a little out of the way, it was worth the drive. There was a lot of art work on a lot of different mediums. Check out the show pics (See). No other shows to show off.

If you are an artist, gallery, curator or know about any art shows coming up in the LA, OC or Inland Empire area, please contact me so that I can help promote your show and possibly come out to take photos of the event.

Have a great week and we’ll see what comes up this weekend.

Weekend in Review

Sunday, March 9th, 2008

This was a very good weekend, art show wise. On Friday night I had the pleasure of hitting up the RIME show @ Ghetto Gloss in Silverlake (See). There was a lot of colorful, fresh new stuff up. RIME was in attendance, hangin out and signing stuff. Saturday, I hit up three shows. First was the Just Loungin’ show @ Crewest (See). It was a pretty laid back show. Vyal was there. Lots of music and silk screening. Next, I headed over to West Hollywood to the Are You Going With Me show @ Ambrogi Castanier Gallery (See). This had to be my favorite show of the night. I was looking forward to this show all week, and it definitely paid off. Check the show pics, really great work there. Lastly, I ended up at Han Cholo in Echo Park. The store was relatively small, but there was a lot to see (See!). The photographs on the wall were by Stephen Mimiaga. Very nice work. The store housed a lot of creative jewelry and art. Check the pics. Overall it was a great weekend, got some great pics. I also got to shoot some graffiti, I’ll have those pics up later.
