Los Angeles based artist Edward Walton Wilcox to exhibit a new solo show “Are you going with me?†scheduled to open at the AMBROGI | CASTANIER GALLERY in West Hollywood on Saturday, March 8th. Edward Walton Wilcox invites us to take a second look at the decadence of the times with his gothic translation of iconographic images like the Hollywood Sign, known to the world as the gatekeeper to Hollywood’s doors of extravagance. Wilcox’s work is a commentary on a society clasping to garish distractions as a means of escaping the inevitable downfall. His work is a moral critique of a world attempting to shroud itself in beauty and diversion in the midst of its own collapse.
The show runs from March 8th, 2008-April 5th, 2008

More than twenty artists representing eight different countries are exhibited, including artists from France, Australia, United States, Portugal, Norway, Brazil, Poland, and the United Kingdom. Hosted by the legendary DJ Horseface, the WeAretheSuperlativeConspiracy group show will showcase the works of artists and Weactivists, Sage Vaughn, Jason Lee, Alex Prager, Chris Pastras, Chad Robertson, Beth Riesgraf, Mercedes Helnwein, Par Stromberg, Clint Peterson and Marcel Struwer.
The exhibition will open March, 1st 2008, at the Robert Berman Gallery at Bergamont Station, in Santa Monica, Ca. It will close March 15th.
